Coffee Chia Smoothie

This smoothie gives you a great boost for the day.
You probably weren’t expecting to see coffee on the menu, but a small amount of coffee is quite good for us.
The rule of thumb is for healthy coffee drinking is:
it must be freshly ground
it must be drunk before 12pm
it must be good quality
and only 1 shot per day
Enjoying your coffee with vitamin E rich almond milk and omega 3 charged chia seeds makes this smoothie rather super.
You can make it in advance and sip it on your journey to work.
The chia seeds swell up giving this drink a lovely texture and the coffee and almond milk mix give it a nice creamy finish. I just know you’re going to love it.
The Recipe
Ingredients
150ml of almond milk
1 banana
1 shot of cold coffee
2 tbsp of chia seeds
1 tsp of vanilla extract or vanilla powder
Directions
Place everything except the seeds in the blender and blend. Pour into a glass then stir in the chia seeds vigorously.
Let this mix sit for 10 minutes stirring every few minutes.
Add some ice and sip it back!
