This week I want to talk to you guys about detoxing! I know I’m not alone in thinking that we sometimes overdo it in one way or another. I also know that there are a lot of ‘miracle products’, which promise a whole new you, which is sometimes a bit misleading. I don’t really ever go on a hardcore detox as it can be hard to stick to but I definitely do take time out to include a variety of foods and products in my diet to help detox and rejuvenate.
We’ve all been on those holidays where we overindulge, consume more food than normal and drink a lot more. It could be a birthday, Christmas or even you’re just feeling a bit out of whack. We all get to a point where we feel like we need to rebalance our system. I’m so excited to share with you a bunch of products I love when I need a bit of a detox. Enjoy!
Buying a juicer is a great way to get a load of vitamins in you very quickly. I have to be honest I don’t use my juicer every single day but I do love to have juices every now for a little pick me up.
Fermented foods are great for digestion. This helps balance your gut flora which I exactly what you want if you need a bit of detox, feeling bloated or have water retention.
This is great for a detox; I love to hot this down in one! It’s not the most beautiful taste but it helps bring your body into an alkaline state.
This is great if you want some chill out time or just need some time for yourself to relax, restore and indeed detox.
I love having a good exfoliation, it gives my so much energy and helps shift any dead skin cells, which indeed will detox you.
A body brush is great for getting rid of toxins and improving your circulation. Always brush towards the heart and I love to do this in the morning before a shower.
This has a similar effect as a dry body brush does but these exfoliating gloves are less about circulation and more about taking off dead skin which in itself is great detox process. I love doing a light exfoliation daily.
Dandelion is great for the liver and assists the breaking down of fats and a healthy liver is important for optimal health!
