This recipe is absolutely being added to the “oh my goodness, I can’t believe how easy that was to make” list – for sure.
You only need a few ingredients and a *little* bit of patience before you have your very own stack of homemade wraps.
I loved using flaxseeds in this recipe not only for their gorgeous, earthy flavour but for the added omega-3 fatty acids & fiber.
Let me know over on Instagram if you give this one a try!
Wraps:
1.5 cups of flaxseed
1 cup of boiled water
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp coriander powder
Salt and pepper
Filling:
Red pepper
Carrot
Avocado
Peanut dressing dip:
2 tbsp smooth peanut butter
1 lime, juiced
2 tbsp of cold water
Start by blending the flaxseeds into a powder (as an alternative, you could also use milled flaxseeds).
Once blended, empty into a bowl with the spices & seasoning and stir well.
Next, slowly add in the hot water, mixing as you go to form the dough.
Once combined, pop in the fridge to cool for an hour.
Whilst the dough is cooling, mix together the dressing ingredients and prepare the veg by finely slicing.
Then, remove the dough from the fridge and divide into roughly 6 balls.
Individually add each ball onto a lined piece of baking paper before adding another layer of baking paper on top and pressing down with a bowl until it forms into a circular thin wrap.
Once each wrap has been shaped, heat a pan with a little oil and fry each side for 3 mins.
Repeat for each dough ball.
My food philosophy is all about enlivening the hottest, happiest and healthiest you. It’s about keeping things simple and delicious so you don’t feel bored or deprived.
