Today is all about THE PELVIC FLOOR. Baz Moffat, Yorkshire girl, mum of 2 and Women’s health and fitness coach is on a mission to get all women connecting to and strengthening their pelvic floors.
It’s something that I wish I knew much more about a long time ago!! You won’t believe how much our pelvic floor affects us as women, including our independence and also our sex life! Being able to control and connect your pelvic floor is a huge part in being able to enjoy sex.
Is a group of muscles and ligaments that are our undercarriage, it connects our pubic bone at the front to the coccyx at the back. It holds everything up.
It’s so fundamental to being a women, if it isn’t working it can lead to a whole lot of problems, including our continence and our independence! It also keeps us fit, healthy and strong!
We actually run through an exercise where we activate our pelvic floor, by imagining we pick up a red kidney bean with her anus and vagina – don’t be freaked out, it’s something we all need to learn!!
We also chat about how working on our pelvic floor will help us be more confident when exercising and encourage a more active life post baby! I can’t believe I actually overlooked this and am now working hard on getting my pelvic floor activated again.
