Snacking smart is essential to feeling good and busting through those late afternoon emails before the day is out.
Another birthday at work, that tempting cupcake is staring at you, I know the feeling. When it’s staring you in the face remember that sugar laden snacks give you happiness in that moment but after you’ll feel bloated and tired… not what you want for the last few hours of work!
Snacking smart keeps your blood sugar levels on track which means you wont be craving all the naughty things.
Snacking smart takes a little organisation. I like to prep snacks on a Sunday when I have a little more time to get my cook on, and do it in front of an episode of Girls.
One of my fave snacks is my raw protein balls. They take a few minutes to make and last 2 weeks in the fridge. When I’m feeling peckish, I’ll snack on one or two of them. You can take them to work in tupperware and they really hit the spot.
Here’s how to make them!
Ingredients:
Method:
Blend in a food processor until smooth. Roll into balls and place into the fridge! Yes…it’s as simple as that.
Another great snack is home made dips and crudités, Whip up some hummus or my butter bean dip. Make the dip in advance and just chop up some carrots on the day.
Always think about protein and healthy fats for snacks they will get you bouncing through the rest of the day!
