I’m a mother, nutritional therapist and author who has been sharing recipes to help you get the glow back for the last 8 years...
I have struggled with IBS and leaky gut for the last 5 years, it is so much better than it used to be, I honestly used to look pregnant constantly.
Frankly bloating isn’t sexy, in fact some may have clicked off this post to look at pretty pictures of smoothies but stay with me. I think it’s a woman’s right to feel her best. I have picked up a few tricks on the way to beat that bloated feeling and aid proper digestion.
My cupboard full of tricks include:
Warm water and lemon
This starts my day and it helps alkalise the body, cleanse the system and fire up my digestion for breaky
1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar
When my digestion feels off, I knock back a tbsp of apple cider vinegar. This is a fermented vinegar so it is loaded with enzymes that help break down the food in your belly. For those with terrible digestion try taking it before each meal.
Tummy rub
Honestly I know this sounds silly but give your belly a massage. It helps move everything through. Work in a clock wise direction and it will help relieve bloating.
Belly Breathing
You can often get bloated while stressed, belly breathing helps you calm your nervous system down and relax your muscles. Take 5 long inhales and exhales, allow your belly to rise and fall and see how much better you feel after.
Magnesium Citrate
If you are constipated this is a great natural way to help relieve this, it also helps you recover posts exercise and aid a super sleep. Pop back a pill before bed and you will feel great in the morning.
