Which Supplements Should I Be Taking Daily?
When I meet clients for the first time they will often tell me how many pills they pop each day.
I actually do think we need some form of supplementation for optimal health.
These are the pills I take:
1. A Multivitamin
A multivitamin a day ensures that you have all your essential micronutrients for the day. I like to take one each day to keep everything in check.
2. Omega 3
Omega 3 fatty acids are ESSENTIAL for the body, they are needed for optimal health and are not produced in the body so we need to get these from our food. Of course, you don’t want to eat fish every day so you need to take your omega 3′s in a pill or liquid form. These babies really help you get the glow.
Acidophilus and Bifidobacterium are two of the primary probiotic strains in the body. These “friendly” bacteria help maintain a beneficial balance of flora in our intestine supporting immune health and intestinal function. These days we strip our body of good bacteria due to excess sugar, stress, alcohol and the pill. We need to put back in probiotics to balance out our gut bacteria.

4. Vitamin D
Now summer is here at the minute and, if you have been in the UK, we’ve actually been enjoying a tropical affair. However, we need to supplement our buddies now that autumn is creeping in. Vitamin D regulates the amount of calcium and phosphate in the body. This keeps your beautiful bones burly and your teeth strong and healthy. Without adequate Vitamin D your bones can become thin and weak. Vitamin D supports the immune system, normal muscle function and cell growth.
