Things I’m Loving this week for….Autumn
It’s definitely Autumn. The leaves are falling off the trees, and it’s getting much chillier in the evenings. My winter boots have made an appearance already although I’m not quite ready to bring out my coat just yet! As the weather changes it can dry out our skin, give us a chill, and leave us craving warmth. So here are a selection of my favourite items I am loving for Autumn.
Sometimes on a chilly night, all we want is a warming bowl of goodness. Enjoy my nourishing Carrot and Coconut soup. Coconut milk contains mostly medium chain saturated fatty acids, one of which is lauric acid. Lauric acid is converted in the body to an antiviral and antibacterial compound called monolaurin which is known to destroy a variety of disease causing organisms, including colds! If you’re looking for an immune booster soup this is definitely for you!
This organic, raw and cold pressed juice contains a handful of ingredients to fights the Autumn cold. It’s got seasonal root veg carrots and fennel, and the ginger and turmeric are natural flu fighters which I love to boost up on when it gets colder.
Hot drinks are essential in the colder months and they can be sipped on all day long. Detoxify and warm yourself up with a variety box of Pukka herbal teas. It’s full of my favourites, but I especially love the lemon and ginger for warming, and the detox tea to soothe my tummy.
Beeswax is a really trusted product. It is loaded with vitamins and essential fatty acids from three types of oil – sunflower, peppermint and coconut. I love keeping it in my bag to condition wintery dry lips. There’s nothing worse than having dry lips and nothing to quench that thirst!
There is nothing nicer than snuggling up on the sofa in a beautiful soft blanket. This vibrant wool throw will keep you warm while you snuggle up and watch a film.
This step by step skin care routine will heal and protect you as the climate changes. I especially love the GinZing Energy Boosting moisturiser and eye cream because they soak in really quickly and add instant hydrating. I get really dry skin from cold weather and central heating but this handy Glow Kit which has my favourite Origins products in also has the Drink Up Intensive Hydrating mask which you pop on overnight and wake up with gorgeous hydrated and glowing skin.
We crave a nice warming bath when we are cold and adding a bath oil makes me feel totally at easy and relaxed. If you are feeling tired or stressed, this camomile and sandalwood in this bath oil will bring you peace and tranquillity.
Neom’s tranquillity candle smells gorgeous and is the perfect addition to ensure you a good nights sleep for the upcoming Autumnal months. I like to pop on Netflix, light a candle and snuggle up under a blanket.
