Things I’m loving this week…for anxiety relief
We all get stressed and anxious at times, which can really affect our health, as well as our wellbeing. There’s nothing worse than feeling anxious, but thankfully there’s lots we can do to help ease the feeling.
When I’m feeling stressed or anxious I find that the best way to ease these feelings is to let it out and talk to my mum or boyfriend about it. Everyone has been through it so don’t feel like you’re alone.
I also try to relax out of anxiety, and take a bit of time out for myself. Below, I’ve shared some of the things I like to use to get myself comfy and feeling like my usual happy self again.
Get on board with essential oils, get some fresh air and deep, deep belly breaths! Silence that inner critic.
Essential oils are such a big part of my life. I love how luscious they smell and how they can be used for different purposes. Ylang Ylang is used to promote relaxation and instantly make me feel calm and relaxed. Invest in a diffuser and get your aromatherapy on!
Dry body brushing is great, it helps get rid of toxins and instantly gives me a boost of energy. When I feel anxious having a shower or bath and body brushing beforehand always makes me feel rejuvenated.
I love the part of my day when I take my face off and have a good cleanse because it makes me feel renewed and refreshed. This muslin cloth is so great for getting everything off my face.
I love this book, it’s great for getting some clarity and is super inspiring. I love putting my feet up with a cup of tea and diving in. It’s helped me to learn to manage my anxiety in the long run so definitely worth a read.
Origins make the best pampering products, and I’m not just saying that because I’m their Glow Girl for 2016. I love their Drink Up Intensive face mask because you leave it on overnight which means the pampering continues while you sleep! It makes my skin feel refreshed and I wake up with glowing skin. When I feel good about myself on the outside, I find that my anxiety on the inside starts to subside.
Having a bath instantly makes me feel better and more relaxed. Soaking in these Epsom salts gets rid of toxins, gives your skin a deep clean and helps your muscles relax. You’ll be guaranteed to feel better.
Vitamin B is a super vitamin full of nutrients and helps me to maintain energy. It helps to break down proteins, fats and carbohydrates and has major therapeutic functions, which help to lift your mood.
Get moving! Exercise instantly makes me feel better. Not only does it help you blow off steam, but exercise gives you endorphins and endorphins make you happy. I also find that exercise gives me a little boost of energy – winning!
Think sheepskin boots are a thing of the past? Wrong… I’ve just invested in a pair of comfy sheepskin boots to mooch about the house in. Wearing slippers helps me to wind down and help my weary feet feel like they’re on cloud 9. Getting your body comfy really helps when you’re feeling stressed or anxious.

You may have seen a lot of these colouring books around I know a lot of my friends got one as a Christmas gift! They’re really great and lots of fun, they also take your mind off life stresses as they keep you mindful and present.
This spray is like relaxation in a bottle. One spritz and I instantly feel calmer. It’s a room spray and I like to keep it next to me when I’m working if I feel stressed. Take some time away from whatever is causing you anxiety, spray a couple of times and try to relax your muscles with your eyes closed then listen to my de-stress meditation video on YouTube.
Rescue Remedy is a great on-the-go anxiety reliever. It’s pocket sized so you can pop it in your handbag. A few drops of this will have you feeling calm in no time. I’m very big on natural ingredients and Rescue Remedy is naturally made from spring water and flowers which means it’s not only good for your anxiety but doesn’t harm your body!
Most of you will know by now that I love herbal tea, and chamomile is especially fab for winding down after a long hard day! Chamomile promotes sleep so perfect for relaxing, easing your mind and getting some zzzz’s..
