Peanut Butter and Toffee Popcorn

I’ve recently gone mad for popcorn and I’ve had so much fun in the kitchen experimenting with different flavours both sweet and savoury! This peanut butter and toffee popcorn has to be one of my favourite flavour combos.

If you’re not a fan of peanut butter, swap it up for cashew or almond butter. If you’re allergic to nuts you can use delicious coconut jam or just skip out the nut butter all together.

Directions

Heat the oil in a large pot on a medium heat and allow this to heat up. Add the popcorn, peanut butter and a punch of salt. Stir well then place the lid on.

After a minute the popcorn will start to pop! Keep it over the heat, and wait for the popping to slow down or stop then take it off the heat and pour over the date syrup.

    Hi, when I made this the peanut butter ended up burning to the bottom of the pan and turned in to a dusty consistency…Help what am I doing wrong? x

      Hi babe, sorry it didn’t work out for you, maybe try it on a lower heat so it doesn’t heat up so fast. xx

    I’m in the U.S. and I’m finding that many people in Europe that I follow are using Date syrup a lot in their recipes. Date syrup is something that I cannot find here. Do you have any substitution suggestions?
