Mango and Ginger Smoothie

Mango and Ginger Smoothie

This is a super simple, and summery smoothie. My Mango and Ginger Smoothie is not only tasty, but comes with a host of health benefits!

This smoothie is beaming with antioxidants. Turmeric is probably the food highest in antioxidants, and it’s also a natural anti-inflammatory. Ginger has similar anti-inflammatory effects, and is super soothing on the gut. Mango, also known for it’s high levels of vitamin A, C and B6, contains loads of vitamins and minerals that help keep you feeling fuller for longer.

I love making this first thing as a breakfast smoothie. It’s so quick to make so you can prepare the fruit the night before and chuck it all in the blender before you go to work!

I hope you enjoy them, and remember I love seeing your recreations, so please share them with me via InstagramFacebook and Twitter using #gettheglow #madeleineshaw

This one’s super simple. All you have to do is place everything into a blender and then blend until smooth.

I like to sprinkle desiccated coconut on top of mine, and squeeze in some fresh lime juice for added tropical taste!

I love the sound of this combination but I was wondering did you use ground turmeric or fresh in this recipe?? Definitely want to give it a go :)
    Thank you,

    • Madeleine Shaw

I used ground but you could use either. Fresh turmeric is so beautiful! x

    H Madeleine,
I was wondering would you have this with breakfast or instead of breakfast?

    • Madeleine Shaw

I would probably have just this for breakfast but everyone is different – it depends how hungry you get x

  • Leonique Van Tonder

Hellos, could I use almond milk instead of rice milk? Thanks

    • Madeleine Shaw

      Of course you can! x

Hi Madleline – this looks super yummy, but what do you think about drinking not-from-concentrate fruit juices with breakfast? Would love to know if this is too much sugar or what you’d recommend to give your mouth that kick in the morning!

    • Madeleine Shaw

Shop bought fruit juice contains too much sugar and not many nutritional health benefits. I usually have hot water and lemon or hot water with apple cider vinegar and turmeric x

Made this today and it was delicious!! I didn’t use honey and added some lime and it tasted great. Thank you so much for the recipe :)
