My Favourite Natural Make-Up Brands

My Favourite Natural Make-Up Brands

I have quite sensitive skin and can get quite irritated by makeup. I have slowly switched to natural make up over the past few years and have found it much more gentle on my skin.

If you’ve met me you’ll know I don’t often wear much make up, it’s mainly out of laziness but I also like my skin to breathe.

However, I love to rock a natural look during the day. I wear fresh light makeup and jazz it up more in the evening.

Natural make up can be hard to navigate, more and more brands pop up and often it can be a bit rubbish. I get asked a lot what makeup I use so I thought I would put together a list of the make brands I love:

I love Inika. Its fresh and weightless but provides great coverage. Inika is an Aussie brand which I found when I was living out there, since I found this product I’ve never gone back.

I love to rock a natural lip by day and a more bold plum or red in the evening. ILIA is my go to with lipsticks, I find that they last (which a lot of natural make up doesn’t) and they have every colour under the sun.

I love a soft cream blush to to bring my cheeks to life when my skin is looking dull. RMS do this amazing multi tasking lip to cheek (I love a two in one!)

For a good mascara well its has to be Dr.Hauschka it lifts and thickens my lashes and doesn’t smudge (which happens to me all the time).

It has to be Inika, this one gives you that sun kissed glow we’re all after without it looking cakey. You only need a little bit each time so it lasts forever!

    Hi Madeleine,
Which colour do you use in Lip2Cheek, it looks wonderful! I can not buy it in person because I live in Turkey. I appreciate if you let me know!

Hi Madeleine, thanks for the post, I was wondering what your thoughts were on mineral makeup? I also have sensitive skin, and have been using a product from Mac for many years now and it provides exactly what I need day to day in terms of coverage and feels lightweight etc, however, having been switching my lifestyle over the last couple years I am now looking at organic beauty products etc, and wondered if the mineral skin powders are as good as they say? Obviously organic is best where possible, but as it suits I’m reluctant to change it up! Thanks in advance :) Caroline

I use the Arbonne perfecting liquid foundation as its light but gives full coverage, allows your skin to breathe, has optilight technology and is vegan! Drop me a message if you’d like to try it x

I use Odylique products ( which feel so great on my skin! But they only have concealer sticks as they are all about lighter make up. I’ve been looking for a good organic foundation to use for nights out so thanks for sharing!
