How to Survive the Christmas Party Season
The Christmas party season is one of the most fun times of the year, where we can let loose, celebrate with our friends and family and munch away on an array of awesome food! However, with the season comes lots of parties, late nights and the dreaded New Year hangover, which can make you feel run down, tired and even put you in a bad mood!
It can take its toll on your wellbeing, and as no one likes to say no to a party, here are some of my top tips to help you keep glowing by repairing and reviving your body from the inside out.
1. Natural Beauty
I’m a huge believer that what you put onto your body is as important as what you put into it. Although I do use some less natural products in my makeup routine, there are some amazing natural alternatives that will help reduce the chance of breakouts, keep your skin hydrated, and as a plus they’re cruelty-free. These are some of my favourite natural make up brands which are perfect for all the Christmas shenanigans.
Inika Foundation – I love mineral makeup as it doesn’t clog your pores up as much as usual makeup. Inika is my fave because it gives you a light and fresh coverage.
Ilia Lipstick – This lipstick is long lasting and comes in lots of fun shades
Zoya Nail Varnish – glam up your nails with some fun Christmassy colours. Zoya is Vegan friendly and contains no formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, dibutyl phthalate or camphor.
Vita Coco Coconut Oil – I always use coconut oil to remove my makeup, and it works a treat. People also say it massively helps as a topical ointment for breakouts and hydrates your skin.
Origins Grapefruit Body Soufflé Moisturiser – perfect for soothing dry skin.
Hydration is key to surviving the Christmas party season. If you are drinking alcohol you need to step up your hydration game because as you know – it’s really dehydrating on the body.
Water is the easiest way to rehydrate but there are also other tastier ways if you want to keep things interesting!
I like to take a water bottle with me everywhere I go so that I can easily keep track of how much I’ve consumed. At least 2 litres of water will plump your skin, get you hydrated and have you glowing in no time! Here are some of my favourite things to keep hydrated.
Raw Press Coconut Water – full of electrolytes and potassium, keep it raw for extra nutrition and hydration.
Pukka Detox with Lemon Tea – I love this detox tea, it soothes the stomach it will warm you up too!
Aduna Baobab Powder – Baobab powder is full of antioxidants which will help put nutrients back into the body.
Brita Fill & Go – stylish and useful for hydration on the go.
3. Beat the bloat
Bloating can be caused by a number of things like food, drink, stress and fatigue. If you find yourself indulging more than usual at this time of year, don’t stress.. these supplements should help you beat the bloat and get you feeling comfortable and confident in that killer party dress.
Pukka Turmeric Active Capsules – turmeric has a natural anti-inflammatory effect on the body to help heal any bloating.
Ginger Root Capsules – If your stomach is feeling a bit sore from one too many drinks, ginger is one of the best ingredients to soothe discomfort.

4. Get energised
