Help me get better, I want to hear from you…

I love my website so much, I get to create recipes I want to eat and bang on about the things I am passionate about. However, it’s not all about me…today it’s all about you! You have been an amazing support to me and my site and I want to hear from you exactly what you want to see more of.

    Hi Madeleine!

    I am loving your book, I have been following you for quite a while now and your recipes are fantastic.. I’m a nurse.. I work 12 hour shifts.. I find I struggle at times to keep completely on top staying focused when at work as I’m unsure of what to take to work for all three meal times including snacks.. As I only have access to a microwave and fridge! Do you have some suggestions of a meal plan for my shift work? Also nightshift is a challenge too? I never quite know what to eat…?

      Hi Ailie, have you seen the example meal plan in my book? Loads of my recipes can be made in advance and some can be eaten cold. The soups can be heated up, and most importantly the snacks in my book are all cold. My advice to you when you have a days off would be to prepare all of your meals for the upcoming days. You’ll need two prep days in a week. Hope this helps and let me know how you get on? x

    Hi Madeleine, I’ve enjoyed your book and find your approach really refreshing and positive. I had breast cancer 3 years ago when I was 39 and have a busy life as a working mum. I’m so keen to keep as healthy as I can so decided to go dairy and gluten free. I have a problem with stress – it really affects my digestion. Can too much fibre be causing problems? I do eat a lot of nuts and seeds. Would you recommend soaking them? Also worried about meat, but it always makes me feel better when I eat it! Thanks for making the recipes so simple. Caroline x

      Yes too much fibre can be really hard on the gut,
      Soaking is better for nuts, if you eat little amounts it’s fine. I think meat is important for a healthy body, just always choose grass fed and finished, have a look at my box

    Hi Madeleine, my boyfriend and I are really enjoying your plan and amazingly delicious meals! The only problem is he is allergic to nuts… Are there any generic nut substitutes that can be used, particularly in your snacking and dessert recipes? Thanks :-)

      Nut butters can be replaced by tahini (sesame seed paste) and nuts can be replaced by seeds, ground almonds can be replaced by desiccated coconut x

    It depends what the recipe is but usually I would say substitute nuts for seeds and nut butter for tahini. So please you and your family are loving the recipes! x

    Hi Madeleine, absolutely love your book and website – thank you for all the great tips! Just completed the survey – one quick question I would like to ask though, when you use coconut milk in your smoothie recipes – is that the carton-kind or from a can?

      Thanks so much for filling out the survey! My top tips with coconut milk is to use the can for anything you’re cooking and if it’s for drinking in smoothies or porridge you can use either but carton is best. Hope this helps! x

    I had a Kindle version and just bought the book, also loving the new recipes on the website and Facebook daily updates! Had the summer salad with peach and parma ham for lunch today, absolutely delicious! Going to make it for my mum’s visit next week! I have been following your eating plan for 4 weeks now, having more energy and feeling good, skin is very nice too, just wonder why I haven’t been losing any weight yet… I go to the gym 3 times a week too, but no weight loss yet. :( x

      Amazing! So pleased you love it. The peach and parma ham is such a good salad for summer. My best advice if you’re looking to lose an few extra pounds is to just stick with it, keep going and you’ll see the results you want x
