5 ways to make going to the gym better than sleeping in

I still can’t quite get over that it’s 2017. I remember being a child where summer holidays seemed like an eternity, now a year just slips you by!

New Year’s resolutions can be a bit cliché, another reason to fail, another reason to put yourself down, but I don’t think we should feel this way! To me, the New Year does gives us a fresh start. We put off eating well and exercising to next year, well next year is here and it’s time to kick some butt!

It’s super easy to fall out of a gym routine, to hide under the covers and hit the snooze button one more time, however moving daily is the key ingredient to boost your energy and make you feel confident in yourself.

Here are 5 tips to make going to the gym better than sleeping in:

1. Get the Gear

Nothing feels better than putting on a nice pair of new leggings; youfeel the part and you look the part. Order yourself a new outfit and you will feel super confident as you stride into the gym. Even if you’re not feeling it, it will help you fake it till you make it.

2. Get an awesome playlist

The treadmill can be pretty boring but add a little Beyoncé to it and it’s a party. Grab your phone and put together a super cheesy girl power playlist. Suddenly nothing will stop you getting into those trainers.

3. Buddy Up

It’s easier to make it to the gym if you have someone by your side. My boyfriend and I like to go together, if he’s not going I’m less likely to go. It’s nice to spend time together and also get your sweat on.

4. Do it at home
